パラオ柔道キッズは新たな道場に移動するにあたり、（中古の）畳が必要との連絡があった。どうにか畳は手配できそうだが、その輸送手段が。。昨年は海上自衛隊の護衛艦かがが運んでくれたのだが、今回はスケジュールやらなんやらで難しい。
また柔道キッズを日本に派遣の計画も検討していたがこれも関係者のスケジュールが合わずの棚上げ。
そこでお寿司パーティで応援！という話が出てきて、現地のお寿司屋さんに聞いたら３００ドルで結構な寿司パーティができそうなことがわかった。一人で出すのは辛い。声をかけたところ早速１０名近く支援者が名乗り上げてくれた。
6月28日、稽古の後にめでたく寿司パーティが開催されました。寄付者の山下啓氏、仁科典子氏が草稿したメッセージも添えられた。

Palau Judo Kids has informed us that they need (used) tatami mats for their move to a new dojo. We managed to arrange for tatami mats, but the means of transportation was a problem. Last year, the Maritime Self-Defense Force's destroyer Kaga transported uniform, but this time it is difficult because of the schedule and other factors.
We were also considering sending judo kids to Japan, but this plan was also shelved due to the conflicting schedules of the people involved.
Then the idea of a sushi party to cheer them up came up. I asked a local sushi restaurant about it, and found out that we could have a pretty good sushi party for $300. It is hard to serve it alone. I called out to them and almost 10 supporters immediately came forward.
On June 28, after the practice, the sushi party was successfully held. Messages drafted by donors Kei Yamashita and Noriko Nishina were also included.
